Defense to start making its case for Randy Taylor today

Posted: Updated:
UPDATE 5:56

The Jury is now deliberating to decide whether to stay all night and come to a verdict.

-------------------------------------------------------------
It's Day 5 of the Randy Taylor trial in Nelson County.

He is the man charged with abducting and murdering missing teen Alexis Murphy.

Today, we will first hear from the last two witnesses for the prosecution.

Then, the defense will begin calling it's witness so it can make a case for Randy Taylor's innocence.

Yesterday we heard testimony from the third man that Randy Taylor claims was with him and Alexis Murphy the day she disappeared.

That man told the jury he was not with either of them on August 3rd.

Over the next few days, we will learn if the defense has any proof to show that Taylor was not the only person with Murphy in his camper.

The first witness will take the stand today when court is back in session at 9:30 a.m..
