Decorated veteran and Arizona Senator John McCain will take part in a meeting with veterans about recent accusations against the Phoenix Department of Veterans Affairs. Right now the inspector general is looking into allegations as many as 40 veterans died waiting up to a year and a half for appointments. Lawmakers on capitol hill are talking about holding hearings once the investigation is over.

President Barack Obama will be in California Friday to discuss the importance of energy efficiency. He'll make his remarks at a Walmart store in the bay area. The retailer has said it's working on saving energy.

Vice President Joe Biden will head South to deliver the commencement address at the University of South Carolina today where he'll receive an honorary degree of doctor of public administration. He'll address students from at least five colleges at the university.

Governor Terry McAuliffe will make an economic development announcement today in Lynchburg. It's taking place this morning at 11 at Porter's Fabrication. He'll also stop to talk to first responders from last week's train derailment.

Virginia Western will honor its fall, spring and summer graduates at commencement tonight at 6:30 p.m.. A record 566 students are expected to walk in the ceremony.
