Book drive underway at NRV Panera locations

Posted: Updated:
CHRISTIANSBURG - A book drive begins today to help stock community libraries in the New River Valley.

Community Housing Partners has 11 affordable rental communities in the NRV and more than 90 in four states for low income families. CHP is working to stock books for kids and adults who live there. "We just want them to know there are books available for them at all times whenever they feel like reading," said CHP's Melissa Hammond. "They don't necessarily have to worry about traveling to a library, even to school to get their books. They can have them right here."

Donation bins are available to drop off books at Panera Bread in Blacksburg and Christiansburg today through June 6th.
