Games were called for the remainder of the day. Three games completed: #9 Cedarville over #8 Central Baptist, 5-3 #7 Campbellsville over #10 Mississipi College, 2-1 #4 Grace over #5 Trinity Christian, 12-3 (5 inn.). Three games were stopped in progress: #6 Union leads #3 Azusa Pacific, 4-0 – Bot. 2 #7 Campbellsville and #2 Oklahoma Christian, tied, 1-1 – Bot. 1 #1 Shorter leads #9 Cedarville, 1-0 – Top 1 An adjusted schedule for the remainder of the tournament has been created, tentatively beginning Friday at Noon. With rain predicted to continue through the afternoon and overnight, Botetourt Sports Complex staff will attempt to prepare Field 1 for Azusa Pacific and Union to resume play at noon. The single game is being played individually to give the losing team the opportunity for a game off, as they enter the losers’ bracket and could face three more games later in the day. Confirmation for the noon start will be announced on the tournament home page shortly after 8 a.m., Friday morning as complex officials assess the fields. At 2 p.m., the additional two games that were suspended (Campbellsville/Oklahoma Christian & Shorter/Cedarville) will be resumed on the same fields on which they were competing, while the losers’ bracket game between Trinity Christian and Mississippi College will begin on Field 1. Games 7, 11 and 12 on the bracket are scheduled for 4 p.m., concluding competition on three fields. Game 7 will be played on Field 1. With play taking place on three fields, live streaming through Tourbeau Sports will not be available on the extra field of competition, Field 1. Games 9 and 10 are slated for 6 p.m. starts and Games 13 and 14 are scheduled to conclude Friday’s play around 8 p.m.
