Mythbuster Monday

Posted: Updated:
Myth:  The most important precaution to take during hot weather is changing outdoor activities to the coolest part of the day.

True.

Virginia Department of Health Facts:

*5 heat related deaths in Virginia 2013

*21 heat related deaths in Virginia 2012

To stay safe we should limit time outside between 10 and 4 during ninety degree days and drink plenty of fluids.  If we have to be out during the heat of the day we should try to use the "buddy system," so if you become confused or disoriented a friend can help.
