    An estimated 10 homes were damaged or destroyed and highways were blocked as heavy rains unleashed mudslides in an area of north-central Washington where hillsides have been left barren by wildfires.
    A slow-moving front bringing heavy rain and thunder is expected to arrive in areas of Washington state scarred by wildfires on Sunday - days after flash floods destroyed at least 10 homes and closed down highways.
(RNN) –  Severe weather made its way through the Iowa Monday, bringing heavy flooding and high winds.

High winds blew down a building Fairfax, IA, killing one and trapping several inside.

A 17-year-old went missing in Cedar Rapids, IA, on Monday after being swept away in a storm drain, KCRG reported.

Several field crew members of the Cedar Rapids Kernels baseball team were injured when a tarp blew over them as they tried to pull it over the field, KCRG reported. Injuries included three concussions and a dislocated shoulder. 

Several tornado warnings were issued across Illinois late Monday, and residents were urged to take cover. There is no word on damage. 

Severe storms, including tornadoes, roared through western Missouri, according to KCTV in Kansas City, but no significant damage was reported.

This comes after some outbreaks of severe weather on Sunday, including tornadoes spotted in Missouri, Iowa, Kansas and Illinois. Preliminary reports from the National Weather Service indicate 13 possible tornadoes were spotted, with scattered reports of damage. No injuries were reported.

Sunday also saw torrential rain in the Mid-South, with 5.87 inches of rain in Memphis, breaking a record of 1.7 inches set in 1902. The widespread flooding that resulted prompted the evacuation of 160 in Whitehaven, according to WMC.

In Cedar Rapids, IA and in Minnesota, people were rescued from cars and homes because of flash flooding.
