CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Seven regional development councils in West Virginia have been awarded federal grants to develop economic development strategies.
Each council will receive $70,000 from the Economic Development Administration.
The councils serve a total 32 counties across the state.
U.S. Senators Joe Manchin and Jay Rockefeller and Congressmen Nick Rahall and David McKinley announced the funding Tuesday in news releases.
