    ...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1215 AM EDT THURSDAY FOR NORTHEASTERN ASHE AND SOUTHWESTERN GRAYSON COUNTIES... At 721 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated rain has ended. Between 2.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Mouth Of Wilson... Grassy Creek... Rugby... Volney... Grayson Highlands State Park... This includes the following streams and drainages... Little Helton Creek, Wilson Creek, New River, Jerd Branch, Little Wilson Creek, Bear Branch, Fox Creek, North Fork New River, Grassy Creek, Helton Creek and South Fork New River. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
