Tommy is a news reporter and anchor at WSLS 10. You can see him and Rachel Lucas Saturday and Sunday mornings from 6 to 8 a.m. on Virginia Today.
Tommy joined the WSLS 10 team in June 2017. He feels right at home in Virginia and is excited to cover stories in his home state. He grew up in Charlottesville and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University.
He came to Roanoke after working as an anchor and reporter in both news and sports at WCBI-TV, the CBS affiliate in Columbus, Mississippi. There, he anchored the station’s weekday 10 p.m. newscasts after starting in the sports department.
He learned about the broadcasting business at a young age from his father, who has worked as a radio personality for more than 45 years. Before going to VCU and learning about the television industry, Tommy worked with two radio groups in Charlottesville starting at age 16.
Tommy loves hearing from people about what they think their local news outlets should be covering. You can email him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
