Fecal bacteria found in Starbucks drinks

MIAMI – Before you head to Starbucks, you should know a recent investigation found fecal bacteria in some of the company's products.

Business Insider reports a BBC investigation that aired Wednesday found varying levels of fecal bacteria in the iced drinks at locations in the UK.

The investigation found three out of 10 samples contained bacteria found in feces.

The head of policy at The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health in London says the level of bacteria at Starbucks was "concerning."

"These should not be present at any level, never mind the significant numbers found," said Tony Lewis.

Bacteria was also found in the drinks of two other UK chains.
