ROANOKE – Mixologist Ashley Vinci joins us with THREE Fresh New Summer Sangria recipes you'll want to make for your next cookout or summer party.
Melon Moscato Sangria
3 cups of melon (watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew)
3 tablespoons of honey
Juice of 1 Lime
1/3 cup Pisco
1 (750 ml) bottle of moscato wine
1 ½ cups of sparkling water
In a large pitcher, mix together honey, lime juice, and Pisco. Add melon and moscato mix gently, taste and add more honey or Pisco if desired. Refrigerate
Top with sparkling water prior to serving.
Raspberry Kiwi Sangria
1 (750ml)bottle of Sauvignon Blanc
12oz of club soda or ginger ale if you prefer sweeter
2 kiwis
1/2 cup Raspberries
2 limes
1/2 cup simple syrup
Pour the wine into a large pitcher. Add fruit and simple syrup, mix well. Cover and let it sit in the fridge for at least one hour. Top with club soda prior to serving.
Red Berry Sangria
1(750ml) bottle of red wine
1 cup of fresh raspberries
1 cup of fresh blueberries or blackberries
1 cup of fresh strawberries
1/2 cup of simple syrup
2 cups of pineapple juice
2 cups of ginger ale
Pour all liquid ingredients except ginger ale into a large pitcher. Mix well. Add berries and refrigerate for at least and hour. Top with ginger ale prior to serving.
