Montgomery Co. School Board approves purchase of defibrillators, employee bonuses
MONTGOMERY COUNTY (WSLS 10) - The Montgomery County School Board voted Tuesday evening to approve recommendations from superintendent Brenda Blackburn regarding the use of carryover funds from the last fiscal year.
Blackburn proposed that the unspent $1.8 in 2014's budget should go toward purchasing automated external defibrillators for the county's 11 elementary schools.
Also included in her plan were one-time bonuses for employees who were not eligible for step increases this past year and capital needs.
