Students in the career and technical education center from electricity, carpentry and technology education work together to put the wind turbines together.

"Each student comes in with their own expertise and they learn how to work together," said Ed Ozols, technology and engineering teacher at Bath County High School.

Ozols says the students used a 3D printer to design the gears and he says that made a real difference. Local businesses are donating $2,000 to send the teams to New Orleans.

Second Place: Team New School: Josh C., Derek O., Dennis W., Logan L.
