Preventing student overload as kids head back to school

FRANKLIN COUNTY (WSLS 10) - With most students back in the classroom parents need to watch out for student overload. A Franklin County middle school counselor and WSLS 10 Back to School Expert warns about overloading students schedules with multiple extra curricular activities.

"When they get stressed they need to ask for help," said Ann Love, Benjamin Franklin 7th Grade school counselor. "If something is bothering them they need to ask their parents they need help or come to the school counselor or their teacher and ask for help. Any of us are willing to try and give them advice and take the stress off of starting a new school year."

She says this will leave time so school can be first.
