CONCORD (WLSS 10) - Gleaning for the World its second truck of supplies to help flood victims in South Carolina.

The group was watching the path of the storm over the weekend and sent a truck nearly a day and a half after.

The organization has sent 100,000 bottles of water so far, and was collecting food and cleaning supplies to send to shelters. They said clean water is one of the most important parts of a flooding relief effort.

"There's a great need, and water that came through is really unprecedented. They say it was 1,000 years since something like this happened and it could really happen anywhere. It was a fluke storm," explained Gleaning's Andrew Young

Gleaning for the World's disaster coordinator was in South Carolina, helping groups in the larger and smaller cities.
