ROANOKE COUNTY (WSLS 10) - The fire that destroyed a home on Mt. Chestnut Road early Saturday morning is still under investigation by the Roanoke County Fire Marshal's Office.

Fire officials believe the cause was accidental; however, determining a specific cause may take some time, according to the Roanoke County Fire and Rescue Department.

The initial call came into the 911 dispatch center at 1:10 a.m. on Saturday, March 19 from a passerby driving down Route 221 towards Roanoke. The driver reported that there was a "house or something on fire."

Although the medical examiner has not yet reported the positive identity of the victims, fire officials have no reason to believe it will be anyone other than the two boys, Patrick and Logan McKinnon, who lived in the home.
