Pink Promise Luncheon raises nearly $150,000 in first 2 years

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - The third annual Pink Promise Luncheon benefiting Susan G. Komen Virginia Blue Ridge is Thursday at Hotel Roanoke. In the first two years, the event has raised almost $150,000 and was a sell out with 400 women and men attending the event both years. It celebrates Komen's promise to end breast cancer forever through screenings, treatment, education and research in Southwest Virginia.

Even if you're not going to the event you can still bid on items in the silent auction. You can text to bid on the items. There are multiple paintings including a painting that will be done at the auction by artist Maria Driscoll in a pink and gold theme.
