Not every trick-or-treater can indulge in Halloween candy, and Florida cops and firefighters are busting out their Thriller moves to raise awareness for children with allergies.

The haunting rendition of the Michael Jacksonclassic begins with a Tarpon Springs police officer placing a pumpkin painted teal in front of the citys public safety building an indication to kids and their parents that the household hands out non-foodtreats to trick-or-treaters with dietary restrictions.

With the help of the Tarpon Springs Fire Department, cops are also raising money to fight eosinophilic diseases, including allergies and auto-immune diseases, through The Cured Foundation.

According to the Teal Pumpkin Project, Halloween can be a tricky time for families managing food allergies. Many traditional Halloween treats arent safe for children with life-threatening food allergies.

They encourage having allergy-friendly treats or small toys available for trick-or-treaters that may be suffering from allergies.
