2 people die in Henry County motorcycle crash

SALEM (WSLS 10) – 2 people died after a motorcycle crash in Henry County.

Virginia State Police are investigating the two-vehicle crash. It happened Friday at 10:08 p.m. on Route 903, just north of Route 57A in Henry County.

Police say a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck was traveling northbound on Route 903 on the wrong side of the roadway. A 2014 Harley Davidson Motorcycle traveling southbound on Route 903 attempted to avoid the truck and overturned ejecting both riders.

The 2014 Harley Davidson Sportster was driven Robert Clark, Jr., 59, of Floyd. Pamela Clark, 56, also of Floyd, was a passenger on the Harley Davidson. They were both transported from the scene to Martinsville Hospital and later died as a result of the crash. Both were wearing a helmet.

The 2005 Chevrolet Colorado was driven by Conel Stafford Martin Jr, 51, of Bassett was not injured.

The driver of the Chevrolet Colorado was charged with Reckless Driving.

The crash remains under investigation.
