ROANOKE (WSLS 10) – Black Friday is just days away and with two big shopping days this year, the Better Business Bureau is warning shoppers to be smart when heading out for deals.
President of the Better Business Bureau Serving Western Virginia, Julie Wheeler, says it's important to make a plan before heading to the stores. With many stores opening on both Thanksgiving and Black Friday this year, Wheeler warns shoppers may overspend more easily.

She says shoppers should make a list of what they want, how much they are willing to spend, and what store to buy the items from.
Many big name retailers have already released their ads online giving plenty of time to do research before doors open on Thanksgiving Day.
It's also important to compare pricing.
Wheeler warns stores may advertise the best price, but they might not actually offer the lowest price.
Finally, look out for low prices that account for mail-in rebates.
Wheeler says stores count on many customers not following through with the rebate process.
