ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - Prescription medicines can be expensive whether you have insurance or not. United Way of the Roanoke Valley is proud to partner with Kroger stores to promote prescription savings through the FamilyWize program.

Jamie Remines has been a Kroger pharmacist for the last five years and sees the difference the savings makes for customers.

She says, "We can offer it to people who might have only been able to choose one medication instead of getting two or three that they need and that puts them in a really tough position to figure out what they need.  That is very hard for us as pharmacists too, we want them to get everything they need for their health."
