WYTHEVILLE (WSLS) - Wythe County saw several inches of snow Wednesday morning, and that brought with it some issues on the road.
Police say there were two major accidents along Interstate 77 Wednesday morning that sent a 13-year-old girl to the hospital with minor injuries and caused traffic backups for hours.

The snow and ice prompted some travelers to get off the roads and make a pit stop in downtown Wytheville, and that is when local businesses got to cash in on a white Thanksgiving eve.
Some travelers say this is the first time they have had such travel issues due to weather this early in the season.
