DANVILLE (WSLS 10) - The Danville Area Humane Society announced Friday they're offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) responsible for placing a young, injured chihuahua puppy in a box and abandoning the sealed box at a dumpster site.

Officials say on Thanksgiving Day, a man who was dumping some trash at the Mount Tabor dumpster site in Pittsylvania County heard a noise, and upon investigation, found the puppy in the box.
