ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - Shoppers came out in large numbers on Thanksgiving but sales slowed around 1 a.m. on Black Friday.

Many stores remained opened throughout the night with only a few shoppers browsing through each store at 4 a.m.

Some vendors say they expected the lull and predict sales will pick back up around 7 a.m.

Shoppers have mixed reviews of this year's deals. Some are happy with the prices and products they are finding, others are leaving shops disappointed.

Many retailers in the Roanoke area will remain open until late Friday. Valley View Mall closes at 10 p.m.
