ROANOKE (WSLS) - Roanoke Valley SPCA kicks off Home for the Holidays foster program. It allows families to open their homes briefly around Christmas so adoptable animals get love and the volunteers and staff get an opportunity to spend more time with family.
Social media has helped the RVSPCA match homeless animals with loving homes. It has also helped the group raise money through five dollar Friday promotions through Facebook. Each Friday people are encouraged to put coffee or appetizer money toward helping homeless animals.
