Virginia ABC College Tour hits Virginia Tech

Blacksburg, Va. (WSLS10) The Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control is working to prevent underage drinking on college campuses.

As part of the Spring 2015 tour, officials went to Virginia Tech's campus to promote healthier and safer communities.

State leaders discussed strategies like under aged drinking like having a policy in place and ways to enforce.

"I hope that people take away that students are important to the overall approach to reduce high risk drinking and underage drinking I hope that students shouldn't be intimidated to talk to the professionals to work with each other," Danielle Luster ABC Educator said.

ABC leaders will make their next stop on William and Mary's campus on March 1st.
