WASHINGTON (AP) - The mid-Atlantic region is preparing for another shot of snow, sleet and freezing rain in time for the evening rush hour.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory in effect in the Baltimore and Washington metropolitan areas from noon Tuesday through the evening. The weather service warns that roads will likely be covered by ice and snow and traveling will be dangerous. Similar conditions are expected in northern Delaware, where the weather service warns even light icing could make travel hazardous.
