Driver airlifted to hospital in rollover crash

MONTGOMERY CO. (WSLS 10) - A Daleville woman who was airlifted to the hospital after a rollover crash was found not guilty of DUI in Montgomery County Court.

Deputies said Leigh Lacy was taken to a Roanoke Co. hospital after the accident happened March 11 accident along the 6500 block of Prices Fork Road, just past Christy's Corner Mart.

Lacy was driving a 2004 Ford Thunderbird when it crashed down an embankment. She was trapped in the car and was extricated by fire and rescue units. There was no one else inside the vehicle.

Deputies said Lacy was airlifted by Lifeguard to a Roanoke area hospital for treatment of injuries that did not appear to be life threatening.

Lacy was charged with DUI second offense within 10 years and refusal of a breath test, but was found not guilty of DUI and prosecutors dropped charges related to refusal of a breath test.
