MONTGOMERY COUNTY (WSLS 10) - A Salem woman was arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run and DUI Thursday. 

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said deputies stopped a 2007 Volkswagon Passat being driven by 26-year-old Georgianna Tiganati.

The vehicle had been reported as being involved in a hit-and-run in Montgomery County. 

Riganti was found to be under the influence of narcotics and was arrested. During the investigation, she was also found to be in possession of items used to manufacture methamphetamine. 

Riganti was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of narcotics, hit and run, possession of methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine precursors with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine. 

Riganti was held without bond in the Western Virginia Regional Jail.
