RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Jewelry, coins, electronics and collectables will be up for auction through May during a state auction of unclaimed property.

The Virginia Department of the Treasury says nearly 1,200 items will be up for grabs in the so-called tangible property auction. All bidding is done online at the following website:

http://www/ebidlocal.com

under the heading "VA Treasury Dept. Unclaimed Property Auction Online."

Bidders must register on the site to participate in the auction.

A preview day will be held May 12 in Richmond. Items up for auction will be on display. The auction concludes that day.

The department's unclaimed property program returned more than $45 million in missing and unclaimed money in 2014.
