Hundred expected at Natural Bridge Easter sunrise service
NATURAL BRIDGE (WSLS10) – One the regions most celebrated Easter event this weekend will be held underneath Rockbridge Counties 20-story tall Natural Bridge.
Hundreds are expected to attend the Easter sunrise service, an annual tradition that's been held for more than 50 years.
The service started on Easter in 1952, with over 18,000 in attendance. Jen Ball with Natural Bridge Hotel says last year there were 400 people at the service, and with recent renovations she expects more this year.
Admission to the park is free during the service that begins at 7 am. Gates will open 30-minutes prior to the event.
Easter Bruch will be offered at the hotel from 9am until 3pm in the Colonial Dining room.
