BOONES MILL (WSLS 10) - Fire officials estimate about 75 acres have now been charred by the brush fire that started Saturday afternoon in the 6800 block of Hofawger Road.

The Virginia Department of Forestry now has two bulldozer crews working to solidify a fire line around the brush fire.  VDOF will now take over the incident throughout the evening hours with about 20 personnel working.

Since sundown, the wind has died down and humidity levels are beginning to rise slowing the fire.

No structures are in danger.

Still no determination on how the fire started.
