LYNCHBURG (WSLS 10) - The Lynchburg Police Department has released surveillance photos of an armed robbery that recently occurred at a local restaurant. 

The incident happened at 8:36 p.m. Sunday, April 19 at the Crown Fried Chicken located in the 1600 block of 12th Street.

Officers say a man entered the restaurant with his face covered and displayed a handgun. 

The suspect is described as a black male, 5'9" to 6'0" tall, with a thin build, and possibly in his 30's. 

He fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect was last seen in the area of the 1100 block of Buchanan Street.
