ROANOKE, Va. (WSLS 10) - King Street in Roanoke is shut down after a tractor trailer hit a school bus Friday morning, according to Roanoke City Police.
Luckily, no injuries were reported. Roanoke Fire-EMS says the road is blocked between Spring Tree and Richard Avenue. WEL is on scene cleaning up a mineral oil spill caused by the accident, along with Roanoke Fire-EMS and Roanoke police.

Fire officials say the street should be reopened by 1:00 p.m.
The incident happened just before 8 a.m. Friday, May 29. Roanoke City police say the Roanoke County school bus was coming around a blind curve when the driver spotted the tractor trailer carrying a transformer.
Both slowed down to avoid a crash, but the transformer came loose and side-swiped the school bus. It impacted the area where the bus driver sits.
Police say there were children on the bus, however no word on how many were on board.
