Die hard fans have seen the changes management made to get more people to fill seats. One fan wrote a letter suggesting changes such as more crowd interaction and management incorporated the suggestion.Â
"I decided to come up with a nine point plan to follow along with the nine innings, I said this is a nine point plan that would really help attendance," Sally Miller, season ticket holder said.
Another suggestion Red Sox staff received was to show the crowd on the jumbotron during the games. General Manager of the Salem Red Sox Ryan Shelton said over the last two years more people are interested in the team.
In 2013,  138 season tickets were sold. According to Red Sox officials, so far, this year people bought nearly 500 season tickets.
Shelton said the reason for the increase was responding to fan feedback. He said fans wanted to be entertained throughout game which keeps the fans coming back and filling seats.
"It supports what we already knew about the fans in this market, the fans here love the team, they love baseball, they really wanted us to put a better experience for them," Shelton said.
Shelton said they also offer half season and quarter season tickets as another option for fans who want to enjoy the game.
