BOTETOURT COUNTY (WSLS 10) - Deputies say a Troutville man is being held without bond after he broke into multiple homes and sold the stolen items at a Roanoke area pawn shop.
Matthew D. Meade, 31, is charged with breaking and entering, grand larceny, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The Botetourt County Sheriff's Office said the investigation began on Tuesday, July 14 when they received two calls of residential burglaries in the Blue Ridge area of the County.
Base upon evidence gathered at the scene, including photographic surveillance, investigators were able to develop a suspect and suspect vehicle.
During the investigation, deputies were able to recover the stolen property from one of the homes at a Roanoke area Pawn Shop about five minutes after Meade had sold them.
Botetourt County investigators say they were able to locate Meade Wednesday, July 15 in Bedford County. He was arrested without incident.
Deputies say more charges could follow at the October term of the Botetourt County Grand Jury.
Meade is currently being held at the Botetourt County Jail.
