SULLIVAN COUNTY, TN (WJHL) – A Tennessee Highway Patrol spokesperson confirmed Friday morning that troopers were part of a multiple vehicle escort Friday carrying the bodies of Marines killed in Thursday's shooting in Chattanooga.

THP Lt. Bill Miller said troopers were escorting the bodies of those killed up Interstate 81 to the Virginia state line, where Virginia State Police troopers were then set to take over the escort.
