WWBT – RICHMOND (WWBT) - A Richmond NBC station is working to help reunite a soldier with his service dog.

NBC 12's reported last week about reuniting service dogs with their handlers. One such service-member from Indiana reached out and now the station is working to help him reunite with his pup.

Nick Polisson and Timber trained together for four and a half months and were deployed to Afghanistan in November 2012. Nick returned that July, but that was the last time he would see the golden lab.

Nick saw Susan Bahorich's story on Friday and recognized another dog named Gilick. Gilick was in Nick's unit in Afghanistan and he thought Timber might be with Gilick too, but sadly he was not.

So here is how you can help reunite these two veterans: we have posted a picture of Nick and Timber on our Facebook page, which includes Nick's email and a brief description of Timber. You would be surprised how far one share can go.

In just over an hour, NBC 12's post reached over 10,000 people. So please share it on Facebook, and help NBC 12 reunite these two!
