NBC NEWS – VINTA, Okla. (NBC NEWS) - An Oklahoma daycare is no longer in business as state officials investigated an incident involving two boys who suffered severe sunburns.
A mother says her sons complained of sunburns when she picked them up from the Happiness is Learning Center Friday. The Oklahoma Department of Human Services said the daycare center voluntarily ceased care at the end of business Monday.
Shanna Oxford said the daycare took the boys to a splash park and let them play outside almost all day without sunscreen.
The boys suffered severe burns and were flown to Shriners Hospital in Galveston, Texas.
