CHRISTIANSBURG (WSLS 10) - A former Christiansburg police officer was found guilty of stealing money from the Virginia Bloodhound Search and Rescue Association.

Stephen Kilby was convicted on seven felony counts of embezzlement Monday. He was originally charged with 12 counts, but five were dropped because he pleaded no contest.

Prosecutors say Kilby stole the money while he served as the group's treasurer from 2010 to 2014.
