Police search for suspect in Roanoke stabbing incident

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - A man was found after being stabbed several times and police were looking for the suspect Monday.

Roanoke police posted information on the Facebook page Safer City Roanoke about a stabbing that happened in the 300 block of Harrison Street. Officers said they found a 48-year-old man on the sidewalk who appeared to have been stabbed several time in the arm and body. He was conscious and alert and was transported to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Officers said they suspect 35-year-old Julio Caesar DeLeon was responsible for the stabbing and got a warrant against him for malicious wounding.

Police are looking for DeLeon to serve the warrant. Anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
