Police search for two women in connection to deadly shooting at Roanoke hotel

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) – The Roanoke City Police Department says they're searching for two women in connection to the murder of a man at a local hotel in June.

According to Crime Prevention Specialist Scott Leamon, officers have warrants out for Brea Ann Belcher of North Carolina and Mya Rae Lee of South Carolina. Both women have been charged with accessory to murder after the fact - which is a class 6 felony.

Roanoke police currently have one man in custody in the death of Geoffrey M. Ndwiga, of Roanoke, Va., who was found dead on June 29, 2015 at the Rodeway Inn on Orange Avenue from apparent gunshot wounds.

Jamal D. Daniels, 26, of Seneca, South Carolina was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Georgia and indicted by a grand jury for first-degree murder.

The grand jury also issued indictments against Daniels for using a firearm to commit murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

As we've reported, Ndwiga was found by a maid inside a room at approximately 11:23 a.m. on June 29 at the Rodeway Inn.
