Police: Stolen vehicle may be connected to Danville robberies

DANVILLE (WSLS 10) - Danville police have found a possible suspect vehicle involved in recent robberies.

Shortly before 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, a Danville Patrol Officer discovered in the area of First and Abbott streets a red Dodge pickup with Tennessee tags. Authorities learned the vehicle was stolen on July 29 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

The truck is being processed for evidence collection and may be connected to other recent robberies in the city.

The suspect in this robbery is still on the loose. He's described as a black male, thin build, 5'8'' to 5'10''. Investigators say he has dreads but his hair may be shaved on the side. They say he also has tattoos on his neck.
