Radford police locate stolen puppy; arrest woman

RADFORD (WSLS 10) - A local woman is being held without bond after police say she stole a puppy from a Radford home.

The Radford City Police Department said at 9:15 p.m. Sunday, August 9 they responded to the 100 Block of Midkiff Lane for a report of a stolen pit bull.

After receiving several tips concerning the location of the puppy, police say they were able to execute a search warrant in the 200 Block of Allen Ave on Tuesday, August 11.

Officers say the stolen puppy was located and three outstanding indictments from Pulaski County were served on Stephanie Albert for two counts of Grand Larceny and one count of Larceny Third or Subsequent Offense.

Albert is currently being held at the New River Valley Regional Jail without bond.

This incident remains under investigation.
