Round Town: Car shows and movies

ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - Movies in the Market returns to downtown Roanoke. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and your favorite movie snacks to market square for Into the Woods. It starts Friday night at dusk.

You can also head to Jack Dalton Park in Henry County for a movie. This month you can watch Cinderella on the big screen. The movie starts Friday night at 9 p.m.

The annual Warren Street Festival returns to Franklin County this weekend. It includes food, music, activities and a car show and parade. It's at the Farmers' Market starting Friday at 5 p.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m.

If you love classic cars, head to Martinsville as it holds a cruise-in this weekend. You'll see a variety of classic, custom, antique and restored cars and motorcycles. It's Saturday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Furniture Heritage Plaza.

Thomas Jefferson's Poplar Forest in Bedford County holds the Face the Forest 5K Obstacle Course Run on Saturday. You'll race the clock running through the woods, mud and over fields at the plantation. Entry Fees start at $30 with proceeds going to education programs at Poplar Forest and the Jamerson Family YMCA's Community Support Campaign. It starts at 8 a.m.

The Pulaski County Humane Society and the Pulaski Yankees team up for Canines at Calfee on Saturday. The humane society will have some of its shelter dogs at the park and you can bring your own with you. You'll need to bring its rabies certificate with you. Gates open at 5 p.m. with the game starting at 7 p.m.

The Salem V-A Medical Center hosts its annual Star City Cruisers Car, Truck and Cycle Show. It features more than 175 cars from all makes and models. There will also be music, door prizes and a silent auction. It's Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
