MONTGOMERY COUNTY (WSLS 10) - The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office arrested a Blacksburg man after they say he shot another person in the torso over the weekend.
Deputies said at 3:04 a.m. Saturday, August 15 they were called to a location along Maxine Street for reports of a person who had been shot with a handgun.

Upon arrival, deputies say Brandon Brookman, 21, of Blacksburg, Va., had suffered a single gunshot wound to the torso.
Brookman was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Timothy W. Johnson, 23, of Blacksburg, Va., was arrested at the scene for reckless use of a firearm. He is being held without bond.
This incident remains under investigation.
