(WSLS 10) - James Madison University holds a vigil this morning to remember Alison Parker. She was killed while conducting a live news report last Wednesday. Officials say it will be a simple affair and a chance for the JMU community to reflect on her life. The vigil takes place this morning at 6:45 on the quad.

If you're interested in a career in criminal justice, then you can head to Danville Community College today for a job fair. Representatives from the North Carolina Department of Public Safety will talk about job opportunities. It's from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the student center.

Country music duo Montgomery Gentry takes to the stage tonight in Salem at the Star B-Q Festival. In addition to the music, you'll get to enjoy bar-b-q from restaurants around the valley. Tickets are $15 with kids under three getting in free. It's at the Salem Farmers Market from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.
