Students gather to remember fellow Hokie killed while riding bicycle
BLACKSBURG (WSLS 10) - Students expressed sadness and shared memories about their friend and fellow Hokie killed while riding his bicycle Thursday.
Mark Alexander Slough was a sophomore in aerospace engineering at Virginia Tech.
He died from injuries he sustained when he was hit at the intersection of Sunridge Drive and Toms Creek Road around 7:30 Thursday morning.
Administrators of the Twitter account @BlacksburgStuff tweeted Thursday evening a vigil for Slough would be held at 516 Sunridge Drive.
After the news of Slough's death became public, the Hokie Nation tweeted condolences his family and memories shared with friends.

Witnesses told Blacksburg police a group of seven people helped lift the vehicle off Slough.
He was taken to Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery, then transferred to Roanoke Memorial Hospital where he died at 12:30 p.m. Slough was 19-years-old
