DANVILLE (WSLS 10) - Danville police are investigating an assault that happened early Saturday morning.
Officers were called to the 300 block of Girard Street just before 4 a.m. for reports of gunshots.
When they arrived, they found a 45-year-old man laying in the yard after being beaten. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police say he had no signs of bullet wounds. Anyone with information is asked to call the Danville Police Department.
