Early Saturday morning dozens gathered to help raise a wall for one Roanoke family. Habitat for Humanity in partnership with the Junior League of  Roanoke Valley's 'Women's Build' plans to construct a home from the ground up -- entirely by women.

And, the group wasted no time getting started. This is the second build for the Junior League. More than two dozen volunteers were ready with hammers and nails.

"It's an awesome opportunity to build a house for a family that's looking to really have a home," said Betsy Thomas, with the the Junior League of Roanoke Valley. "And so, all these women out here it's really good comradery and just getting to know some of the other ladies out here…it's awesome. It will be really great to see it when it's all put together at the end."

In total the house costs $120,000. The home is slated to be move-in ready come mid-March.
